Thoughts

These have been making me think:

Francis Chan:
The irony is that while God doesn't need us but still wants us, we desperately need God but don't really want Him most of the time.

It is true that God may have called you to be exactly where you are.  But, it is absolutely vital to grasp that he didn't call you there so you could settle in and live your life in comfort and superficial peace.

Both worry and stress reek of arrogance.

C.S. Lewis:
What seem our worst prayers may really be, in God's eyes, our best.  Those, I mean, which are least supported by devoational feeling.  For these ay come from a deeper level than feeling.  God sometimes seems to speak to us most intimately when he catches us, as if we are off guard.
